ABIRIBA—THE Enachioken of Abiriba in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, Eze Kalu Kalu Ogbu, has called for calm from his subjects as security agents continue their investigation into the killing of an Aba-based businessman, Chief Iroeke Ukaku.
Chief Ukaku was murdered on Friday, January 4, 2013, in his house at Abiriba in Abia State.
The monarch, who described the incident as very unfortunate, said it was bad beginning in the New Year for the people of his community.
Eze Ogbu told his people to feel free to go about their normal businesses and remain calm, assuring them that security men were working hard to apprehend those behind the dastardly act.
The traditional ruler also urged his people to feel free to approach the security men and offer useful information that could help them in their investigation into the killing of their kinsman and abduction of his two daughters.
Enachioken recalled that the community was engulfed in serious crisis which it over came not long ago, said they would not want to go back to such dark days again.
Eze Ogbu commended Governor Theodore Orji for his prompt response to the situation by detailing security agencies to move into the community to maintain, law and order.
According to him, the killing of Ukaku and abduction of his daughters have nothing to do with Ezeship tussle in the community.
